Love it!

I use Adobe Illustrator to create logo designs, illustrations, ad screens and much more. For example, if we're pitching a client, we may decide that we want to create a unique logo for the pitch. In that case, I use illustrator. Recently, I also used Illustrator to create a floor map for our building.

Adobe Illustrator is a very specific but powerful program that cannot be replaced when creating digital graphics, from logos to illustrations. Its interface is simple, straightforward, and allows for so many different ways to create. I've downloaded the Adobe apps and have experimented with integrating them into my work. Specifically, I have found Adobe capture to be a useful tool.

There isn't much I dislike about Adobe Illustrator. I wish however, there was a way to establish gridlines and columns like you can in InDesign.

Best for Creating Graphics

Illustrator makes it easy for me to create graphics for social media or print. I can complete simple layouts for flyers or digital marketing.

Illustrator has exactly the tools I need to create all kinds of graphics, from simple icons to realistic digital illustrations. The learning curve is a little steep, at first, but once you get the concept it's easy to use. I appreciate all the shortcut keys, too, simplifying switching between tools and navigating the program.

Because Adobe has photo editing software and layout software, the features when dealing with photos and text layout are very limited. There are workarounds for a lot of things, but sometimes they're not the most user-friendly. And if I'm only doing a simple layout or need to include a photo in a mock-up that mostly includes graphics, it's easier to do it all in Illustrator. So I figure out workarounds.
